This statue of Confucius (551BC-479BC) is said to have been donated from the province of Shandong in China to stand at the Confucius Institute north of Stockholm City. The institute no longer exists and had a problematic relationship with Stockholm University and other institutions. There has been talk of both espionage and propaganda.
